After exploding in cities all over the world, HYROX, the global indoor fitness race that’s changing the game, is finally landing in Japan. The venue? Pacifico Yokohama, one of the country’s top event spaces, right in the heart of the action. It’s the perfect setting for what promises to be an intense, adrenaline-filled day of fitness, grit, and plenty of cheering.
If you’re not familiar with the HYROX format, here’s the lowdown: every race combines 8 x 1km of running with 8 functional fitness workout stations. You run 1km, hit a workout, run another kilometre, hit the next station, and so on until you’ve completed all eight rounds. Think SkiErgs, sled pushes, wall balls, and more for a full-body test of strength, speed, and stamina. And the best part? It’s all indoors, so no matter the weather, the atmosphere is always buzzing.
HYROX Yokohama: What You Need to Know
HYROX Yokohama is taking place on 9th August 2025 at Pacifico, Yokohama. Expect a packed-out venue, booming music, high-energy crowds, and some of the fittest athletes from across the country showing up to test their limits.
This race follows the same format as every HYROX event worldwide, which means you’ll be ranked on a global leaderboard, and potentially qualify for the HYROX World Championships. That’s right, your performance here in Yokohama could earn you a spot on the world stage.

You’ve got options when it comes to how you compete – You can go solo in the Open or Pro categories, team up in Doubles or Doubles Pro, or rally three mates and hit the course as a Relay team.
